In the summer of 1984, Jerome Sitko embarked on a journey that would change his life forever. He packed his car with a few belongings and set off on a cross-country road trip that would take him from his home in New York City to the Pacific Ocean and back. Along the way, he would encounter a diverse cast of characters and experience a wide range of adventures. His journey would be documented in a book, "Summertime Journey," which would become a classic of travel literature.

Sitko spent a few days exploring the city, visiting the Desert Botanical Garden and the Phoenix Art Museum. From Denver, Sitko continued east to Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City was a large city, but it had a friendly atmosphere. Sitko spent a few days exploring the city, visiting the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Kansas City Zoo. He also took a walk through the Country Club Plaza, a shopping district with shops and restaurants.

From Kansas City, Sitko continued east to St. Louis, Missouri. St. Louis was a large city, but it had a rich history. Sitko spent a few days exploring the city, visiting the Gateway Arch and the St. Louis Art Museum. He also took a walk through the Soulard neighborhood, a historic district with shops and restaurants.

From St. Louis, Sitko continued east to Chicago, Illinois. Chicago was a large city, but it had a vibrant arts and culture scene. Sitko spent a few days exploring the city, visiting the Art Institute of Chicago and the Field Museum of Natural History. He also took a boat tour of the Chicago River.
