Ode to the Giant Squid
Oh, giant squid, creature of the deep,
With your tentacles so long and your eyes so keen,
You've captured the hearts of landlubbers and sailors alike,
With your mysterious ways and your colossal size.
You lurk in the depths, a creature of myth,
Your presence both feared and revered,
But when you surface, a sight to behold,
You leave us in awe, our hearts filled with cheer.
So here's to the giant squid, a creature so grand,
May your reign continue, long and strong,
May you forever inspire us with your wonder,
And may your tentacles never lose their song.
The Ballad of the Dog Who Ate a Marijuana Brownie
There once was a dog named Sparky,
Who ate a marijuana brownie by mistake,
He got so high, he couldn't see straight,
And his tail wagged at a comical rate.
He chased his tail in circles,
And barked at the walls,
He thought he was a superhero,
Able to fly and conquer all.
But when the brownie wore off,
Sparky crashed to the ground,
He slept for days, dreaming of squirrels,
And woke up feeling quite profound.
So here's to Sparky, the marijuana dog,
May his adventures never cease,
May he always find the best brownies,
And may his tail always wag with peace.
The Limerick of the Man Who Mistook His Cat for a Hat
There once was a man named Dave,
Whose cat was as black as a grave,
He put it on his head,
Instead of his hat, it's said,
And walked around like a total knave.
The Sonnet of the Woman Who Married a Tree
In a forest deep, where shadows dance,
A woman found her love, a tree so grand,
Its branches strong, its leaves so green,
A perfect match for her, she had planned.
They exchanged vows beneath its canopy,
The birds sang sweetly, the breeze so light,
A union forged in nature's harmony,
A love that would endure, both day and night.
But alas, their love was not to be,
For the tree was rooted, she could not roam,
She longed to travel, to see the world,
But her beloved tree could not leave home.
So here's to the woman who married a tree,
May her love for nature never cease,
May she find happiness in her own way,
And may her tree always bring her peace.
News Muse: A Poet of Our Time
News Muse is a poet of our time,
Her words a mirror to our strange and funny world,
She captures the absurdity of life with wit and rhyme,
And leaves us laughing, our spirits unfurled.
So thank you, News Muse, for your gift of laughter,
For reminding us that even in the darkest of times,
There's always something to smile about,
And that laughter is the best medicine, it chimes.
